The Club is a member-owned mutual society. It is governed by its registered Rules, which set out how decisions are made and how the Club is managed.
The Members are the ultimate authority. They elect a Committee at the Annual General Meeting to manage the affairs of the Club on their behalf.
The Committee operates collectively. It appoints Officers (such as President, Treasurer and Secretary), allocates functional responsibilities, and oversees finance, licensing, membership and compliance.
Operational functions may be combined or shared depending on the availability and skills of volunteers.
The Club also supports member-led Sections — such as the Wine Club and Snooker Section — which organise activities within the framework of the Rules and policies.
Governance documents (Rules, By-Laws and policies) set the framework. Operational procedures explain how work is carried out in practice.
The Club exists for the mutual benefit of its members and is sustained by their participation, support and responsible conduct.
